Violin questions, answered.
Do you supply violins, and what size will my child need?
Violins come in fractional sizes and the right one depends on your child's arm length, so it is worth being measured rather than guessing. Many families hire to begin with, since a growing child will move up sizes. Get in touch before you buy or hire and we will help you work out what fits.
Do you prepare students for grade exams?
Yes. We teach complete beginners through to students preparing for grade exams and auditions, with sight reading and theory introduced at a comfortable pace alongside the playing rather than crammed before a deadline.
Do you only teach classical violin?
No. Classical repertoire is there if you want it, but so are fiddle tunes and film music — repertoire is chosen with your interests in mind. Tell your teacher what you want to be able to play and lessons get built towards it.
