About songwriting
Songwriting lessons help you turn your ideas, emotions, and stories into songs. Our teachers are working songwriters — they know the craft from the inside and will help you find your creative voice in a supportive, non-judgemental space.

Who it’s for
Songwriting is for anyone who wants to create their own music — whether you’re a singer, instrumentalist, or just have things to say. We run private and group sessions for teens and adults. Some instrumental or vocal experience is helpful but not essential.

Songwriting questions, answered.
Do I need to play an instrument to write songs?
Some instrumental or vocal experience helps, but it is not essential. Songwriting is for anyone who wants to make their own music — singers, instrumentalists, or people who simply have things to say. We will work with whatever you bring.
Who are songwriting lessons for?
We run private and group songwriting sessions for teens and adults. Our teachers are working songwriters, so you are learning the craft from people who do it, in a supportive space designed for trying things out rather than getting them right first time.
Will I get to record the songs I write?
Yes — recording and demoing your own songs is part of the lessons, and there are performance opportunities through the year if you want to share them live. You can also carry on into music production lessons if the recording side is what grabs you.
