Drums questions, answered.
Do I need a drum kit at home?
Not to start. Drums are the one instrument where we do not expect a full setup at home — talk to your teacher about DIY practice options, which get you a long way for very little. Lessons themselves are on a full kit at our Glen Eden studio.
Can drums really be taught online?
Yes, and we do it regularly. The trick is camera position — angle your device down from a higher point so your teacher can see both you and the kit. If you do not have a kit at home, your teacher will work with whatever practice setup you have.
Is my child too young to start drums?
Probably not. We teach drums at all ages and levels, including first-timers who have never held a stick. Getting behind the kit and playing a beat happens early, which is usually what keeps younger students coming back.
