Audition prep lessons give you focused, one-on-one coaching to help you feel confident and prepared for whatever’s ahead — whether that’s a music school entrance exam, a drama school audition, or a performance opportunity.

Who it’s for
Audition prep is for students of any age who have an upcoming audition or assessment. This might be:
- University or music school entrance auditions
- Drama school vocal auditions
- NCEA performance standards or exam preparation
- Grade exams (ABRSM, Trinity, NZMEB)
- School talent shows or performance opportunities
- Competitions or festivals
You don’t need to be an advanced student — we’ll meet you where you’re at and build your confidence step by step.

How far ahead of an audition should we start?
Four to eight weeks is the usual window, booked as a short course in the run-up. If you already have regular lessons with us, audition prep can simply become the focus of those for a while instead of sitting alongside them.
Which auditions do you prepare students for?
University and music school entrance auditions, drama school vocal auditions, NCEA performance standards, grade exams with ABRSM, Trinity and NZMEB, school talent shows, competitions and festivals. You do not need to be an advanced student to book.
Can I get feedback without booking regular lessons?
Yes. Record your performance, send us the link, and one of our team will give you tailored feedback — $40 for a single song up to 4 minutes, or $80 for a multi-song audition video up to 10 minutes, back within 5 working days. There is a form further up this page.
